PHASE 2 PROJECTS

The comprehensive Campus Master Plan made recommendations beyond a new Middle School and Library/Academic Center. The Board of Trustees has determined that the following projects are both necessary and feasible. Planning  for these begins in earnest with construction anticipated to begin in June 2007 and to be completed by August 2008.

  • Solve parking, pick-up and drop-off congestion by building a two level parking center near Regents Road (where the Upper School baseball field is today), and relocating the main campus entrance to Eastgate Mall from Genesee Avenue.

  • Reunite Kindergarten with the Lower School by building permanent classrooms where the tennis courts are today, including a Lower School science room and health services office.

  • Increase the amount and quality of spaces for fine arts by converting the existing Fayman library to a studio arts complex.

  • Rearrange the remaining athletic fields (except for the section with the artificial turf), moving the tennis courts to the top of the new garage, and provide new seating, restrooms and concession stands for the football/soccer/lacrosse field.
