"Middle School is a time of enormous change and growth
in a child. It is the bridge from the security of childhood that guides our
children towards the rewards and responsibilities of adulthood. The new buildings
will perfectly express and nurture this spirit."
CHRIS SCHUCK,
MIDDLE SCHOOL DIRECTOR

"The Library Academic Center will
be the place to be on our campus – to
celebrate literacy, community, and the wonders that technology brings to learning
and research."
SUSAN MIDDLETON,
HEAD LIBRARIAN

PROJECTS
Our teachers and administrators are among the finest educators in the nation. Our goal for our children
is to develop into the best individuals they can be. Our parents are dedicated and involved. Clearly,
Country Day is an outstanding community.
Let us say to all who visit our campus, students, teachers, parents, staff, alumni, prospective
members of the Country Day family, friends, we have high expectations. We ask the best of ourselves,
of our students, of our campus. We value education. We see the potential in every child. This
initial phase of our campus improvements clearly underscores the school’s ongoing adherence
to three key objectives – preparing children exceptionally well for their academic futures,
strengthening them as individuals, and providing them the safe haven of a supportive and caring
community.
Building our Endowment
It is time, now, to continue this legacy of excellence. As exceptional as these new facilities
will be, this crucial undertaking is also about ensuring the financial stability of Country Day
by increasing the endowment. For Country Day that means significantly building our endowment over
time.
Upgrading to a Field of Dreams
Beyond the Middle
School and Library Academic Center, the first step in refurbishing the athletic fields is completed.
In keeping with the Country Day mission of developing the athlete in every child, a component
of this campaign is a lighted,all-weather, turf field for our football, soccer, and lacrosse teams.
This type of field is the new gold standard in athletic fields and will be followed by further
expansion and improvements in athletic facilities in future phases of the master plan implementation.
